Gasoline & Other Fuels

Gasoline is a refined petroleum fuel used mainly in spark-ignition internal combustion engines (cars, motorcycles, small engines). It’s graded by octane rating, which measures resistance to engine knocking.

Type: High-octane unleaded gasoline

Octane Rating: 95 RON (Research Octane Number)

Use: For modern petrol engines, especially those requiring higher compression

Benefits:

- Reduces engine knocking

- Improves fuel efficiency and performance

- Cleaner combustion than lower-octane fuels

Additives: Often contains ethanol (E5 or E10) and detergents

Environmental:

- Unleaded: No lead content; safer for health and catalytic converters

- Low sulfur content helps reduce emissions

- Common Name: Premium unleaded petrol or Super in some markets
