1. What It Is: NPK fertilizer is a blended or compound fertilizer that contains three essential macronutrients for plant growth:

- N – Nitrogen: Promotes leafy growth and chlorophyll production - P – Phosphorus: Supports root development and flowering - K – Potassium: Enhances overall plant health, resistance, and fruiting

2. Common NPK Ratios: - 10-10-10 – Balanced for general use - 20-20-20 – High strength, all-purpose - 15-15-15 – Moderate, well-rounded - Specific blends: 12-24-12 (for root growth), 6-12-12 (for fruiting crops), etc.

3. Types: - Compound (Complex): All nutrients in one granule - Blended (Bulk Blend): Separate nutrient granules mixed together - Water-Soluble NPK: For drip irrigation or foliar application

4. Applications: - Used for all crops, including grains, vegetables, fruits, and lawns - Applied before planting, during growth stages, or through fertigation
