1. What It Is: Diesel D2 (also called Gas Oil) under GOST 305-2013 is a Russian fuel standard used for ultra-low sulfur diesel fuel. It's primarily used in diesel engines for vehicles, generators, and industrial machinery.

2. Key Specifications (GOST 305-2013):

- Sulfur content: Max 10 ppm (Ultra-low sulfur)

- Cetane number: Min 51

- Density at 15°C: 820–845 kg/m³

- Flash point: Min 55°C

- Pour point: −10°C to −35°C (depends on climate grade)

- Viscosity at 40°C: 2.0–4.5 mm²/s

- Ash content: Max 0.01%

- Water and sediment: Max 200 mg/kg

3. Grades / Climate Categories: GOST diesel comes in seasonal grades:

- Summer (L) , Winter (Z) , Arctic (A)

These differ mainly in pour point (cold flow properties)
