1. What It Is: Diesel D2, also known as Automotive Gas Oil (AGO), is a middle distillate fuel used in diesel-powered vehicles and machinery. It's a refined petroleum product used globally in transportation, agriculture, industry, and power generation.

2. Grades:

- High sulfur: Older grade (often above 500 ppm sulfur) – less common now due to regulations

- Low sulfur: ≤500 ppm

- Ultra-low sulfur (ULSD): 50 ppm (Euro 4), 10 ppm (Euro 5/6 or GOST 305-2013)

3. Key Specifications (Typical Range):

- Sulfur Content: 10–500 ppm (depending on spec)

- Cetane Number: Min 45–51

- Density @15°C: 820–870 kg/m³

- Flash Point: Min 55°C

- Viscosity @ 40°C: 2.0–4.5 mm²/s

- Pour Point: −10°C to −35°C (based on region)

4. Uses: - Diesel engines (cars, trucks, buses) , Generators and industrial equipment , Agricultural machinery , Marine engines (small vessels)

6. Environmental Note: Higher sulfur AGO is being phased out in favor of low or ultra-low sulfur diesel, to comply with environmental regulations and reduce emissions
